We thank you for the trust that you have put in Empire, and can assure you that now more than ever, your safety and security is our top priority. We are here for you during this time, and as a result, have taken dedicated action to keep you and our employees safe. Consistent with government recommendations, Empire has implemented the following health and safety measures:
Reinforced Resources
- Increased frequency of store-wide cleaning and sanitation protocols, including areas such as reception and tables on the retail floor; communal tables, countertops and seating surfaces; common-use touchpoints including door handles and more.
- Additional hand sanitizer stations have been deployed in key areas throughout the stores, including high traffic and common areas for both guests and employees.
- We require all guests to sanitize their hands immediately upon entering the premises along with undergoing a mandatory no-contact temperature check to ensure none of our guests are entering the facility with a temperature above 100.4 degrees.
- Our dispensaries are sanitized thoroughly every 2 hours for your protection
- All staff are required to wear gloves and are no longer permitted to shake hands with any guest.
Employee Attention
- Reinforced health standards, virus prevention awareness and safety procedures have been communicated to all employees with respect to back-of-house and public, guest-facing areas.
- We have instituted the following measures to encourage responsible acts of self-monitoring among all of our employees, including: an updated employee sick leave policy and mandatory temperature checks.
- Suspension of all international employee business-related travel.
We encourage you at this time to take advantage of our online ordering system to minimize your time in our shops. This will keep the lines moving quickly and prevent too many people in the stores at once.
