We spent Sunday November 22nd with our community and staff in giving back! We provided baskets filled with turkey and other food for the less fortunate. It was a great day filled with smiling faces, good vibes, and connecting with the community. It means a lot to us that we are able to give back and coordinate this wonderful event. Together we were able to raise over 800 meals this Thanksgiving to families in need.

In the weeks leading up to the event we collected food and coordinated with our fellow giving back partners Unidos Por La Musica. Unidos Por La Musica is a non-profit charity that helps low income communities through the power of music. Unidos Por La Musica helped spread the word about the Turkey Drive and also brought out an incredibly talented musician who provided a wonderful performance and kept everyone’s spirits up. We collected donations from anyone willing to support and we spent each dollar on food that went inside the baskets. Each person who donated reviewed 1 raffle ticket for every $1 to win a special raffle basket. The event was held from 11am-1pm at the Empire Twin Palms location and it was a major success. Empire dispensary saw the community come out and felt the full support. There was a huge line of cars and the amount of people we met and helped was tremendous. We packed each car with a basket of food, including a turkey, and a bag of essentials.

The community came together and supported each other in giving back. The feeling of unity and being thankful for what we have was felt throughout the entire Turkey Drive. Empire is thankful for each and every person who helped and supported this amazing event. The impact we have when we come together is felt throughout the entire community. Standing together we stand stronger. Empire dispensaries will continue having community events and #EmpireGivesBack will have more to come.
